We extend a warm welcome to Jessica Grundström Ahldin as new Secretary General of Star for Life. She joins us from the non-profit organisation Drivkraft Malmö, which she started in 2011 and has run successfully ever since. Drivkraft Malmö offers mentors to students and their parents, and provides homework support for hundreds of learners in Sweden.
Jessica Grundström Ahldin has been self-employed for more than twenty years and has worked on several different assignments in media, including sales, marketing and leadership. In 2005, she also started Transfer Öresund, a project connecting high schools with the business world, which she ran for five years.
– The opportunity to continue working with young people’s ideas, beliefs and goals for the future within an international perspective feels really exciting, says Jessica Grundström Ahldin. I have followed Star for Life from the start. It has always inspired me, and I am very much looking forward to being part of the Star for Life family and being able to take this important work to the next level.
Dan Olofsson, Star for Life’s founder and chairman, is very happy about Jessica’s recruitment:
– Jessica Grundström Ahldin has shown a strong commitment to non-profit ventures, has a clear entrepreneurial ability and is also at home within sales and revenue; exactly the qualities needed to drive and develop Star for Life going forward.
Star for Life would also like to thank Ulrika Norberg, who has made an excellent contribution during her two years as Secretary General. She leaves the organisation at the end of September due to moving abroad.
– We thank Ulrika for her valuable work, says Dan Olofsson. Due to the family’s move abroad, Ulrika has chosen to end her assignment. At the same time, Jessica is a good successor and we welcome her to Star for Life.
Jessica Grundström Ahldin takes up the position on 1 October.
