At the Postcode Lottery’s annual distribution, Star for Life was awarded 7 million SEK. This non-earmarked basic support is a long-awaited addition to the organization for 2023.

– We are extremely proud and grateful to receive the Postcode Lottery’s continued trust. We are all living in challenging times right now and this support enables us to continue to develop and improve the quality of our work in schools in southern Africa. The support is needed more than ever after a couple of tough years for all our learners and families. Since this basic support is not earmarked, we can also direct the funds where they are most needed and build in a sustainable and long-term way, says Jessica Grundström Ahldin, general secretary at Star for Life.

Close to a million people in Sweden participate in the Swedish Postcode Lottery and buy a ticket every month. The surplus from the sale of these tickets meant that the Swedish Postcode Lottery could distribute just over one billion SEK this year.

Many thanks to the Swedish Postcode Lottery for the support that Star for Life and 59 other non-profit organizations receive.

And an extra big thank you to everyone who has bought a lottery ticket – together we can make a difference!
