Today saw the introduction of Star for Life Germany in Kirchhem / Teck in Germany. The foundation has been set up by entrepreneur Dr. Jörg Mosolf, with the aim of raising funds for Star for Life and offering German companies the chance to become partners for the schools in southern Africa.
“After many trips across the African continent, several with my children, I have come to the conclusion that municipal and state efforts are not enough to improve the living conditions of many poor children. I also want to encourage other entrepreneurs to help those who are less fortunate. Good education and a social network are prerequisites if children are going to have the chance to create a better future,” explains Dr. Jörg Mosolf, chairman of Star for Life Germany.
“By starting Star for Life Germany, I am also fulfilling a promise I made to my own children on our first trip through South Africa.”
For Star for Life Germany, Dr. Jörg Mosolf has brought together a board with solid experience from business and science. The Board consists of Detthold Aden, former CEO of BLG Logistics Group, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Frank Straube, Head of the Logistics Department at the Institute for Technology and Management at TU Berlin, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Wimmer, Chairman of BVL’s Board and Andreas Hoetzel, Radio Presenter and former Head of Corporate Communications at BLG Logistics Group.
Present at the launch of the new foundation in Krichheim / Teck were Star for Life’s founders Christin and Dan Olofsson, Jessica Grundström Ahldin, Secretary General of Star for Life Sweden and Pierre Delvaux, Chairman of the Board of Star for Life South Africa.
