Where we work
Star for Life was founded in South Africa in 2005 but has since then grown into an international collaboration of legally independent organizations that share values, skills and concepts. The non-profit association SfL International has management- and coordination responsibility for the entire international operation in South Africa, Namibia, Tanzania, Sweden, Ukraine, Jerusalem, Germany and Norway. The Secretary General of SfL International is Jessica Grundström Ahldin and the chairman is Dan Olofsson.
When you make a gift to Star for Life, you can choose whether it is a general gift to our work or whether you want to earmark your support for a particular country and/or project that is especially close to your heart.
Impact in numbers
SfL International is the umbrella organisation for all Star for Life’s programme and fundraising countries. Together, we are stronger – and over the past 20 years, we have coached more than 540,000 learners towards better health, stronger self-esteem, and improved school results.
In doing so, we help to build a new generation of confident and self-reliant individuals who can provide for themselves and contribute to their communities.
