Star for Life Tanzania operates on Mafia Island, located just off the coast of mainland Tanzania.

At eight schools across the island, our coaches work to strengthen students’ self-esteem so that young people are better equipped to manage their education, protect their health, and pursue their life dreams. Here, we also address the challenges of gender inequality in a society shaped by traditional gender roles and religious norms. The programme is led by Rashid Slim Nassib, with the support of the Executive Director for Star for Life Africa.
