In southern Africa, far too many girls are born into a life of discrimination, prejudice, lack of knowledge and poverty. Star for Life’s special initiative, Girls Club, focuses on the specific situation of girls.

In a safe space and through special workshops with our well-educated coaches, the girls familiarise themselves with issues around health, sexuality, consent, gender-based violence and equality. We train them in how to become an entrepreneur and how to make a business plan. The goal is a new generation of strong and independent women.

Through your contribution we can train the girls in entrepreneurship and how to fulfil their dreams for the future without having to rely on a man for support. You also make it possible for all the girls in your club to go to school every day – even when they have their period.

By supporting a Girls Club, you ensure that every girl will get sanitary pads, a menstrual cup or period panties so they don’t miss school just because they are menstruating.
