Star for Life Jerusalem

Star for Life Jerusalem is an independent foundation within SfL International. In the eastern part of the eternal city, students are supported through the SfL Education programme.

Our aim is to empower youth in East Jerusalem with the life skills they need to make the most of their education and realise their aspirations for a better future – in a city and society shaped by social cohesion, sustainable peace, and shared prosperity.

Through Sigma Lab, we also support the development of the Hi-Tech ecosystem in East Jerusalem by providing employment opportunities, career guidance, training, and educational programmes. Through the SfL Job Hub, young job seekers are matched with employers. The work is led by Country Director Yoav “Zimi” Zimran.

Sigma Labs

Jerusalem

Sigma Labs supports the growth of the High-Tech ecosystem in East Jerusalem with the goal of enabling 7,000 IT jobs over five years. The initiative takes a multidisciplinary approach, combining direct employment opportunities in the tech sector with education and training, career support through Sigma Labs Educational Campus, and support for entrepreneurs and startups through Sigma Innovation Labs.

Job Hub

SfL Job Hub will consist of four components; Connect, Growth, Job Ready, and Maxa Jerusalem. These four components will cover different areas within different sectors, with the joint mission of creating more, and successively better-paid jobs for the inhabitants of East Jerusalem. The plan is to enable 3000 jobs in different industries over a five-year period.
