Välkommen till vår skola!
Imanuel Shifidi High School was established in 1977 in the township of Katutura in Windhoek City. It was then called Katutura Union Secondary School and at that time only had junior high school grades – grade 8-10. From the late 80s it became a Secondary School when the upper high school grades were added – grade 11 & 12.
The Star for Life programme was introduced at the school in 2008, and has been running in the school ever since. The school caters to learners with disabilities with its wheelchair friendly set-up.

“Since the Star for Life programme has been implemented at the school, learners have gained more self-confidence and there has been an improvement in academic performance. The atmosphere among staff members has also improved, due to regular teachers’ workshops. Star for Life is a very good programme, recommendable for the school. The programme must continue running in our school.”
