On the 22nd of February, Bukimvelo Secondary School officially welcomed Otto Magnusson as the sponsors of the school, through Star for Life (SFL).
The day was filled with joy, music, and dance as everybody celebrated the partnership between the two, trusting that it will yield fruitful results through academic results.
During a speech, founder of SFL, Mr. Dan Olofsson said: “Out of all the investments we have made in our lives, our best investment was to invest in the future of youth in South Africa, through Star for Life.” Feeling proud of the impact SFL has made on the learners towards fulfilling their dreams and living healthy meaningful lives.
On the day, Princess Nandi Zulu, daughter of King Goodwill Zwelithini KaBhekuzulu, applauded the work done by Star for Life at the schools, saying the programme needs to be implemented in more schools around South Africa, as it is changing the lives of the learners for the better.
Special thanks also went out to Ezibayeni Circuit Manager, Mr. M.V Nsimbi, for his support and unwavering belief in the SFL programme.
The school was overwhelmed with words of gratitude when sponsors Otto Magnusson announced that they would be dedicating themselves to building a library for the school in the months to come.
The launch concluded with the raising of the flags, symbolizing the partnership the sponsor has with the school through SFL.
