Star for Life is happy and proud to announce that we have been awarded 2.2 million SEK to our mobile health clinic in Namibia by the American organization I-Tech. (International Training and Education Center for Health.) Our health interventions are an invaluable part of our regular work in schools and this funding means that we can further develop our Mobile Health Clinics. During the initial phase, these funds will be used to hire 3 nurses and 2 assistants.
The activities of the mobile health clinics complement the coach’s work at the school by giving the student a deeper education on subjects related to safe sex, sexual and reproductive health, rights, and which physical and emotional changes puberty causes.
(The International Education and Training Center for Health (I-TECH) is a global network that works with local partners to educate qualified health professionals and strong national health care systems in resource-limited countries.)
