Entrepreneurship refresher trainings were held for Star for Life Southern Africa trainers in Windhoek Namibia, conducted by Hand in Hand Zimbabwe. The training covered all the steps in starting a business up until the preparation of a business plan.

During the month of March, these trainers will conduct entrepreneurship trainings to all Star for Life coaches, who will then implement the programme in all Star for Life schools. Each coach will select 30 girls from their schools to take part in the Daughters of Africa project. The Daughters of Africa Project is a project that aims to instill hope for the future of young girls in Namibia and South Africa through training in Gender-Based Violence, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, and Entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurship is a part of the Daughters of Africa project objectives that aims to empower young girls to be independent by starting their own businesses.

The project is being implemented by two strategic partners, Star for Life and Hand in Hand Zimbabwe, an enterprise development-oriented organisation.

Hand in Hand Sweden offers technical support for the project. The project targets 100% in-school youth and is funded by Postkodlotteriet.
