Recently, Star for Life South Africa hosted a potential sponsor Nordic Waterproofing at Kelokitso Comprehensive School in the southern parts of Johannesburg.

The visitation was aimed at showing various Star for Life activities that are taking place in our Johannesburg schools. The visitors were warmly welcomed by the school choir, followed by a short presentation from an SFL coach Yoliswa Khoza, while conducting a workshop themed “Dreams can be fulfilled” our visitors had the opportunity to be part of it. Learners got an opportunity to be motivated with the main focus to value education, and also were educated on Star for Life values- I GO FOR MY DREAMS, AIDS FREE THAT’S ME, I DECIDE, I AM COMMITTED and I MAKE IT POSSIBLE.

Our MHU (Mobile Health Unit) team also presented the work they do at schools, ‘dealing with the physical well-being of each individual and to strengthen three main pillars- health education, Hiv/Aids, and counseling’. Principal Mrs. Tlhabanelo, presented the school’s background and their current circumstance and the role that is played by SFL in the school. South Africa is known for its ethnic and cultural diversity, learners from different backgrounds, Tsonga and Zulu entertained visitors by demonstrating their traditional dances.
